Finally, after 3 months after the public hearing was held, the Revenue Regulation for Republic Act 9504, a.k.a “Tax Relief Code” has been approved and released thru Philippine Star last September 25, 2008 by Dept. of Finance.
Employers are given only up to November 28, 2008 to submit all employee updates (BIR Form 1902 or 2305 whichever is applicable). Transitional Table for 2008 was also provided given that the implementation of the new tax rate is pro-rated.

Back on at last
Tonight, I noticed my internet connection is back. For almost two weeks, I felt like I’m a cast away

Finally, I was able to take home my dream phone today.
Submitted my requirements at Globe Business Center at 5th Floor Building A at Megamall, at around 11 a.m. Waited til past 12, but the wait was starving, so we told the Customer Rep that we need to get lunch and return. We had lunch at the 2nd floor along the Bridgeway, then just when we’re about to smoke at the carpark, the Globe staff called me and said “ok na po sir, balik na po kayo sa Globe”. Wow! my worry about getting declined was gone when I heard that. So I went to the nearest ATM booth to withdraw. Here’s the amount that I paid.
For the 8GB iPhone 15,100.00 + 1,599.00 = 16,699.00
15,100 for the unit, and one month advance subscription.
iPhone first before long weekend
Today, Globe launches iPhone 3G in the Philippines, whoa!!! I have been waiting for it since Apple’s first release. I once paid for iPhone over an Auction site back in May, but unfortunately, I wasted my time waiting for the seller to deliver the unit. After nearly 2 weeks, I contacted the Escrow agent and had the refund of my payment.
Now, the wait is over. I’m going to get the post-paid plan for 15991 a month, with 100 local voice minutes, 350 sms, 40 mobile internet hours, and 20 Wiz Wi-Fi hours in a month. Not bad! I probably not go over that features, so its ok for me.
[ad#co-12-float-left] Then, hoping I get this before tonight, we’ll go straight to province to relax. No plans yet, probably get lazy or off to a resort. Not sure. Hoping for a long great weekend (with my iPhone, 
hopefully)! On second thought, I may not be totally offline with it. Nahhhh!
Achieving something
The day I began new theme on my site, I thought blog is a good way to go. But what am I to write, I asked. First thing that came to me was “to share” something, to share what it’s like being a programmer, how every bits of code get so stuck in the head, mumble about it, and go crazy! And now I can say, I am somehow getting there, because I received new comment from a member of LinkReferral community on 2008-08-12 04:07:09 which goes

I thought I heard someone that says “keep it up” when I read that comment. So, I think I want to keep this for long. But my apologies, sometimes I am really neck-deep in my IDE, staring at it, or sometimes just thinking with something to nibble near me, hahaha! That’s right! You heard me, I think and eat, or eat and think. Its hard to think if you’re starving, not ONLY people in the blue-collar jobs needs full tummy, same is true in this field. Maybe not so full, I get that sleepy feeling. And that’s it, I’m gonna write and share! And I fully support open source community!

Wasting time
Lately, I spent hours outside before coming home, though I need to be early because of some side jobs waiting for me.
Not an ordinary Saturday
0930 Left the house (Mandaluyong) with wife
1015 Arrived at Ever Gotesco Grand Central (Monumento)
1040 Had snack at a green fast food near the bus terminal
1100 Bus took off, heading North Luzon Expressway
1105 Took her phone off the bag and played
1120 Tried to get a nap during the ride – success!
1210 Woke-up when bus was entering San Simon toll gate
1245 Bus Stop terminal, get off and got on another bus heading back alone
1350 Bocaue toll gate
1415 Get off at Balintawak, cab to MRT North Station
1440 A very long line at the station (no SV card, ouch!)
1500 Boni Station, grab some vitamins at a drug store
1525 Back home!!! – Mandaluyong
What the f just happened? I packed my things this morning, laptop, network cable, few RJ-45 plugs, crimping tool, so I can hook up my laptop when we get there where I feel comfortable working. What made me get off the bus and get back here? Did I miss something in the time line? Yes I missed, intentionally. In a nutshell, I get upset, that’s it.
