Common linux commands

pwd – print name of current/working directory

rm – remove files or directories

rmdir – remove empty directories

route – show / manipulate the IP routing table

sed – stream editor for filtering and transforming text

shutdown – bring the system down

sleep – delay for a specified amount of time

sort – sort lines of text files

whoami – print effective user id

write – send a message to another user
